The principal module aims are to:
Provide students with a conceptual grounding of the frameworks of financial management
Offer a contextual understanding of major asset classes and their characteristics
Enable students the opportunity to evaluate the conceptual relationship between risk and return
Encourage students to reflect on the core principles of CAPM and its applications
Provide students with relevant software training

- Identify, describe and evaluate the major asset classes and their characteristics
- Explain the conceptual relationship between risk and return
- Demonstrate advanced understanding of the core mechanisms of CAPM and its applications
- Challenge the concepts and models presented on the module
- Critically evaluate portfolio theory and the notion of diversification in a practical manner
