Introductory description
This module aims to provide students with a fundamental understanding of corporate finance theory and practice. It reviews basic theories and applications in firm capital structure decisions, corporate governance and ethics, capital budgeting and payout policy of corporations.
Module aims
The module provides students with an understanding of corporate finance theory, insight and practice. Topics covered include the corporate cost of capital, corporate leverage and taxes, capital budgeting, discounted cash flow analysis, capital structure, payout policies, financing methods, corporate governance and control, and international corporate finance. The emphasis is on both intuition and application while providing overviews and in-depth study, along with the necessary technical skills, to engage with the material.
