Introductory description
In facing the rapid changes in a globally competitive market and the constantly renewed technological innovation. Global supply chain and logistics sectors are enduring ever-increasing challenges, where demand for renewed knowledge and skills, especially for the new generation of industrialists, is constantly rising. This proposed Supply Chain Management module is designed to face these challenges and delivers a new set of fundamental knowledge that addresses the changing business structure, relationship, and operational effectiveness from a renewed supply chain perspective. The contents of the module are thus based on the most recent research findings and managerial experiences around the globe. The module is delivered through face-to-face lectures, seminars, and online guided asynchronous learning. It is delivered mainly by the University's internal academic tutor, and supported and complemented by contributions from experienced external professionals and academics alike.
Module aims
The principal aims of the module are to prepare the students with advanced knowledge in the field of supply chain management and to develop the essential skills to apply the knowledge when facing or anticipating real-world business cases.

Learning outcomes
By the end of the module, students should be able to:

- Critically analyse the effectiveness and efficiency of managerial approaches to supply chain strategic and operational performance.
- Make feasible, practical and supported recommendations to improve supply chain competitiveness.

Students will be given a wide range of multiple-choice questions on various aspects of the learned knowledge reflecting their in-depth understanding of the subject learned. The test will take place during the 4-week block. |

Formulating and evaluating a conceptual model of a real-world supply chain | 75% | 45 hours |
The assessment requires students to study a given case and theorize the identified supply chain management approaches to a conceptual model; evaluate the models' fit to the identified facts and evidence; and make rationale suggestions for supply chain improvement. |
Feedback on assessment
A written report of assessment would be provided to students to assess their performance in terms of achieving the learning objectives.
