Introduction to the principles of clinical practice.

There are 3 blocks of learning in Phase 2 of the MBChB course as follows:
- Student Selected Component 1
- Advanced Cases 1
- Core Clinical Education
The syllabus of each of the above blocks is provided in the individual block approval forms.
Learning outcomes
By the end of the module, students should be able to:
- At the end of Phase II, students should be able to communicate with patients.
- At the end of Phase II, students should be able to take a history.
- At the end of Phase II, students should be able to examine, construct common and important differential diagnoses.
- At the end of Phase II, students should be able to suggest common investigations.
- At the end of Phase II, students should be able to propose basic management options.

Feedback on assessment
Face to face feedback is available to those students who do not meet the summative examination pass threshold and is delivered in a timely manner. Individual electronic feedback on performance in the summative examinations will be normally provided within 2 working days following the release of the results.
