Introductory description

The Applied Analytics Projects module provides an opportunity to apply the techniques and methodologies taught on the course to real-world settings. The focus will fundamentally concern the practicalities of applying analytical methods within the context of wider organizational change. This will incorporate project management for analytical interventions, ethics and risks in analytics projects, and the structuring of analytics in the business model of the organisation.

Module aims

The principle aim of the module is that students are exposed to the challenges that organisations face when applying analytical techniques. Building upon the content delivered on previous modules around analytics interventions, this module will expose students to the organizational challenges that surround such interventions. This will include the management of analytics projects, the broader ethical and ESG frameworks that surround analytics interventions, and building the overall analytics maturity of an organisation.

Additionally, the module offers the opportunity to synthesise, apply and extend the (technical and management) skills and knowledge they have gained in previous modules within the setting of applied analytics projects.
