Module aims

The purpose of the portfolio is to provide a record of how students' time was spent during their year away and to conduct a critical evaluation of their own personal experiences.

It should also demonstrate an awareness, appreciation and understanding of the wider cultural and business-related issues in the relevant industries/sectors/countries in which they undertaken their year away.

This will be the only module completed in respect to students' year away and counts towards 10% of their overall degree.

Outline syllabus

This is an indicative module outline only to give an indication of the sort of topics that may be covered. Actual sessions held may differ.

The syllabus is student-led, requiring reflection on personal experiences and reference to research in relevant areas such as expatriate training, learning styles and inter-cultural issues.
