Introductory description

This module is for students taking a Full Intercalated Year Work Placement through the Department of Politics and International Studies. The module is worth 120 CATS, which count as the intercalated Year 3 of a 4 Year degree, but is assessed on a Pass/Fail basis and will not count toward the calculation of your degree classification. You need to Pass the Work Placement by fulfilling the participation and assessment requirements. In addition to completing your work placement, we expect you to be in regular contact with the Department during your period of work and to upload to Tabula a number of documents at designated points. These include information about your placement and confirmation from your employer of the duties you will undertake and the start and end dates. We ask that you also upload short reflective diary blogs to tell us how you are getting on, as well as the end of work placement assessed reflective essay. These reflective pieces offer you opportunities to tell us what you enjoy about the placement and to alert us to any problems or difficulties.
